Keep Body Positivity in Jeans 👖
By Maria Elena Perez
My plea to keep the skinny jean around is more than just me having a hard time parting with my favorite pair of jeans, it’s about body positivity. While skinny jeans were never meant to be body inclusive in the first place, trying on my first pair when I was a freshman in high school in 2007 allowed me to finally feel good about my curves.

Defective Birth Control in Chile Linked to Unplanned Pregnancies: Activists are blaming defective birth control and the Chilean government for at least 140 unplanned pregnancies. Last year, the public health care system quietly recalled 276,890 packets of oral contraceptives following issues that potentially made them ineffective. Now, a reproductive rights group plans to sue the government and birth control manufacturers for violating women’s rights. They hope the case will help broaden abortion access in Chile, which is only allowed in limited cases.

Court Documents Reveal the Key Roles Women Played in the Insurrection: At least 28 women face charges following the attempted coup at the Capitol on January 6. The 19th dug into court documents that show the role this small group of women played during that day. While some of the women claimed their participation was a spur-of-the-moment decision, others spent months preparing for the failed coup.

Male Politicians From Both Sides Keep Getting Away With Sexual Misconduct. It Needs to Stop: There are a growing number of sexual harassment claims against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D). The allegations — two of which come from former aids — have prompted calls for an independent investigation. At the same time, BuzzFeed News reported that several women have come forward with harassment claims against Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) from his time at Patrick Henry College. The freshman congressman was reportedly known at the small Christian college for making women feel uncomfortable and afraid.
Infuriatingly, neither man has faced any real consequences for their actions. This type of behavior doesn’t just happen in the political world. Rapper T.I. and his wife are facing sexual assault allegations from dozens of women.
Read about the allegations against Cuomo here and learn about the harassment claims against Cawthorn here. More on the disgusting accusations against T.I. and Tiny here.

Princess Party Time’s Paw-nderings 🐶
Henlo again, hoomans! This week, I paw-nder about one of my favorite things to do: playin’ with my toys!
I have so MANY toys! There are some that squeak, some that are soft, some that I can play tug of war with and some that I cuddle with. But every time the stuffing falls out, my mom takes my toy away from me and I never see it again.
I always get a new toy when it happens, but it makes me paw-nder, where does the old toy go? Is there a special place for broken toys? I guess no matter where the toy is, I’ll always remember the fun times we had together.
